Look, learn, and laugh together as a family during our programs for kids and adults. The Westmoreland invites families to experience American art with hands-on and virtual programs created to engage all ages.
The Museum’s studio art classes, for children ages 7-10, are offered September – May once a month on Saturday mornings. These classes are designed to ignite creative experimentation while teaching fundamental art techniques.

On the first Sunday of select months, The Westmoreland has a FREE themed Community Day! These Community Days provide activities for everyone who wants to experience the Museum in a fast-paced and fun-filled way. The galleries and Museum spaces will be filled with everything from art-making activities, live music, and more–all presented in a COVID safe format. Every month will be different, but always a lively experience!
Every summer, the Museum offers several week-long art camps where children can explore their creativity through fun, innovative programs taught by professional art instructors. Each week has a different theme and includes time both in the studio space and the Museum’s galleries. Stay tuned for registration information.
Explore the galleries with your family and connect with artworks in a new way with our In-gallery Activity Guides. The in-gallery activity guides and take-home art kits are best suited for children ages 4-10 years old, but offer fun for the entire family. Extend your Museum visit and allow your child to connect to their inner artist at home with art activities and supplies.
